New Memory Works Product

Here is a new theme set by BasicGrey offered by MemoryWorks. It is called Sugared. I love how MemoryWorks puts together their kits so that it takes the guess work out of cordinating papers!! They do the hard part for you. Pictured above are the 12X12 papers, monogramed stickers, glazed brads, and rub-on book. There are several more items available in this theme! New Layout

Here is another layout that I did for Haley's scrapbook. I loved using the lace to display Haley's birth info rather than just journal the info. The first tag has her date of birth. The second one lists the hospital and city, state where she was born. The third one is her name, the fourth her length, and the last one is her weight. I still would like to add a journal section off to the side but I keep putting it off. I am not much into the journal aspect of scrapbooking. I think it is because I don't always know what to write! I would love to have advice on how to become better at writing journals for my scrapbook. I will be sure to post any advice I receive to share with my readers.

Digital Scrapbooking

I am about to enter the world of digital scrapbooking. I just purchased Photoshop Elements. I am so excited to get started. I am hoping that this will help me get caught up with Haley's scrapbook!! I will be sure to post something once I learn how to use the program! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Sneak Peek

I thought I would post some of the layouts from Haley's scrapbook. I am a little behind. I think I have up until she was 6 months old done and she is going to be 2 next month! Where does the time go? Hopefully I will get caught up soon. I better get busy. Feel free to scraplift!!!

I got the idea for this layout from Melissa Blair in Scrapbook Trends Magazine Baby Steps 2005. This book is filled with ideas for baby scrapbooks. Perfect for anyone doing a baby book. I have used a ton of ideas out of this book.

The words "Sneak Peek" was cut out on the Cricut. Heidi Swapp has some great flowers to use as embellishments. Check out the Memory Works Store. They have a lot of Heidi Swapps products.

All Day Crop

Just Added!!! Lora with Scrapaholic Retreats has just added an all day crop!!! The event will take place July 12, 2008 from 9am-10pm in Munster, Indiana. There will be FREE make and takes, classes (extra fee), contests, giveaways, and onsite vendors (I am one of them!!!). Three meals are included in the price of the crop. You don't want to miss out!! Book Review

Scrapbook Page Maps by Becky Fleck

I don't know about everyone else but trying to come up with a layout for my scrapbooks is one of my biggest challenges. I have found a book that solves my problem. Page Maps by Becky Fleck. The book has layout ideas for 12X12 and 8.5 X 11, single or double layout designs. There are over 100 pages of layout sketches as well as pages completed using the particular sketch. All through out the book there are tips on using the sketches and how to make them your own. There is also a chapter on taking one sketch and using it three different ways. This book is perfect for all levels of scrapbookers. Whose scrapbook couldn't use a fresh new look? The best part of the book are the laminated punch out cards in the back that have a sketch and example on each card. It also comes with a box you put together to keep your cards in. Perfect for taking to retreats, crops, or classes.

New Beginnings!!

Welcome to my new blog! I am an Independent Consultant for Memory Works and have decided to start a blog to feature projects that I am working on as well as products from Memory Works. I hope to have lots of new things up soon but please be patient as I get started!! Visit often for new ideas.
